We recently sat down with Immaculate Kamya, a Managing Partner at TCH Consultancy firm based in Uganda, to speak about how she manages her clients’ large events and why her company’s event management services are highly sought after. I had subscribed to CIO Africa magazine and would regularly get event invitations. This got me curious as to which software CIO Africa was using. Coincidentally, I was also looking for event management software at the time. I was sure the software would not disappoint because I was familiar with the magnitude and number of events they held all year round from my interactions with CIO Africa. I did my research, visited Glue Up’s website to understand the Event Management Software ecosystem, and once satisfied, I sent an email requesting a demo. I was pleased with how fast a sales manager from the team contacted me and to say the least I was sold after the demo!
We were getting several client requests that needed us to manage their events. We were not looking to create a new event website every time we got an event project. Glue Up’s Event Management Software was able to solve all the pain points we were worried about. We wanted an all-in-one event management software that would be equipped with great event templates, easy event website creation for managing events.
This was our first event on the platform. We were able to save time handling tedious event management tasks such as creating and updating conference schedules, better event registrations through the use of event invitations in the campaign module and the digital ticketing system. The attendee check-in tool made all the difference. The QR code feature worked efficiently. I was so pleased with the platform and this was solidified by the attendees as they also had a splendid time.
First impressions count, especially for a consultancy firm such as this. For us, establishing trust begins with the initial event attendee registration. We needed a suitable event management platform that would enable a frictionless registration process. We were able to send personalized emails and notifications with links for joining the event. We sent out engaging email campaigns informing the registrants on the speakers and hot topics. These teasers helped us increase our attendance rates.

The software helped us reduce our pre and post-event stress as everything was in-house and we did not have to deal with third-party event vendors.
