You will get the opportunity to show your portfolio or work in progress projects to several established industry professionals to obtain insightful and constructive advice about your work. This is a great opportunity to network with our local design community, and practice presenting your portfolio in a non-competitive environment.

SEGD is a multidisciplinary community and each of our community members brings a diverse set of experience and expertise. As such we welcome all students, recent graduates and mid career designers to have their portfolios reviewed, regardless of which direction you aspire your career to take.

SEGD will provide light refreshments and drinks. Spots are limited so please ensure you register!

Emerging Designers:

• Please bring your portfolio (if it's digital ensure that it's downloaded and your device is fully charged)
• Think about your goals for the event. Do you have specific questions about your portfolio? Would you like career advice about navigating the industry? Please come with specific questions and goals in mind, so that our reviewers are you able to help you as best they can

Portfolio Reviewers:

• Think about advice you were given as an emerging designer that helped you, or advice that you wish you had received. Please come prepared with some tidbits of wisdom for our emerging designers

Getting to LaSalle College:

• Transit – Renfrew Skytrain Station is a short walk (140m) from LaSalle College
• Biking – there are two large bike racks located at the main entrance
• Parking – there is free street parking along both sides of Renfrew St, and there are a few Visitor Parking spots along Bradfield Ct

Accessibility:

• The main entrance is flat, with no stairs or slopes, and there is an accessible drop off zone directly out the front for visitors
• The event will take place on the ground floor of LaSalle College, a short distance from the main entrance along a wide corridor
