The 20th Anniversary Conference- During the Conference, we will reflect on the last 20 years of PALU; how we have developed internally, and what contributions we have made to the development of the African continent, and to international law and governance generally. We will also take stock of where the continent stands at the moment; its place in the world; what has been achieved, where the opportunities and challenges lie, and what should be done going forward. In defining our path going forward, we will put special focus on the role of the legal profession in implementing the AU Agenda 2063, and especially in achieving the aspirations 2, 3 and 4 therein. PALU is also in the early stages of developing its Strategic Plan for 2022 to 2027. The plenaries and town hall sessions will therefore enable current and prospective PALU members and our other stakeholders to make inputs onto the PALU they want, and what they wish to achieve, under the PALU umbrella, over the next five years.

The 20th Anniversary Gala Dinner - After the Conference, we will spend the evening reflecting on our journey and celebrating and honouring some of the lawyers and friends of lawyers who have contributed to the growth of PALU in particular, and to the legal profession in Africa in general.
