Would you work for a company you knew was not socially responsible? Or how would you feel if your employees were working under unfair labor practices or were forced to do something unethical? No company wants to be in the headlines for engaging in socially irresponsible practices... On the other hand, when a company shows social responsibility - they show that their commitment is at the heart.

If people don’t trust your business, it will be very difficult for your business to get partners and sign up new customers. It is therefore important that you make careful consideration of how your business acts in relation to your mission and vision.

At Glue Up, our mission is to transform the way professional communities enable and enrich relationships. Our vision is to create a world where every person and organization uses our technology to efficiently share resources and create opportunities for success. We place emphasis on developing win-win collaborations with our clients and partners, to make sure we are all better off working with each other.

When it comes down to it, CSR is a choice – a choice all stakeholders have a say in.

Making World a Better Place Step by Step

We are always looking for quality projects that are striving to make the world a better place. Dozens of charities, non-profit organizations and other institutions are using Glue Up's technology to streamline their processes and increase their efficiency. Our management software leaves these organizations with more time they can use to focus on their missions. Here are some of the recent non-profit projects that are powered by Glue Up’s management software where our technology was (or still is) playing a key role.

FitHearts

FitHearts (by FitFam) is a sport and fitness community passionate about reducing inequalities with a vision to come together, through like-minded individuals and corporations, to raise funds and awareness for charitable causes. They believe every life is equal, and they focus on helping those in greatest need. Their mission is to mobilize and engage the world for good, and alleviate poverty and reduce inequalities through the three areas of focus: Education, Healthcare, Wellness. Glue Up is the technology partner of FitHearts and helps the whole organization to collect the funds, process the registrations for the event, communicate with the donors, members, and community. We also help to distribute the funds to the charities involved.

She Loves Tech

She Loves Tech is a global movement initiated by women behind Lean In China, which is another non-profit organization we are supporting. She Loves Tech showcases the convergence of the latest trends in technology, entrepreneurship, innovation and the opportunities it creates for women. This non-profit project runs completely on the Glue Up's cloud platform. We helped She Loves Tech to bring women in technology together through our technology and narrow the gender gap.

Chi Fan for Charity

Through our Technology Partnership with Chi Fan for Charity, we have supported Education in Sight, a non-profit whose vision is the world where every rural, Chinese student has the eyeglasses he or she needs to see clearly and succeed in school. They accomplish their mission by bringing the eye exams, eyeglasses, and eye care education students need directly to their classrooms. To date, they have given over 150,000 eye exams and delivered 20,000 pairs of glasses to children in need. For last three years, we have been helping the people behind the Chi Fan for Charity to collect the funds and with check-ins at dozens of events happening simultaneously at various locations. We also helped to collect the charity to collect and distribute more than 160,000 USD. Glue Up CEO has been also directly involved with the project for several years now, and few of our colleagues were also volunteering and helping with the organization of the events.

Besides these three amazing initiatives, we are working with many other non-profit organizations and partners, such as Shanghai Sunrise, Lean in, Social Supply, StartUp Grind, Startup Weekend, Black & White Charity Gala and many others.

United Nations Global Compact Network, Indonesia

The United Nations Global Compact Network is a global community of businesses taking shared responsibility for the creation of a better world. As a member, Glue Up not only identifies with their mission but aims to advocate for justice in matters of labor, human rights, environment, and anti-corruption. Catalyzing change is a matter of taking the lead in supporting wider goals of sustainable development, in the process proving that business can act as a force for good. Within the network, Glue Up is able to collaborate with like-minded businesses and tailor their growth in the direction of good, making their membership a guiding force. Business operates best when connected to the local communities surrounding it.

How Can Companies Approach CSR?

People today are demanding to do business with companies that make social responsibility one of their core values – and with today's communication technologies, it makes it easy for them to find out if a company acts in a socially responsible way or not. Many companies consider their work with CSR to complement the company’s business strategy and core competencies. In this way, the company creates value for the company’s stakeholders while strengthening its competitiveness and earnings. Besides that, investors and employees also prefer to interact with a company that has a firm foothold in socially responsible approaches.

The world is faced with challenges in all three dimensions of sustainable development—economic, social and environmental. No matter how hard we at Glue Up try, we are not able to help everybody that we would like to. But we are firm in our mission to transform the communities around the world. We want to be inclusive and take special care of the needs of the poorest and most vulnerable either directly ourselves or via our partners that we support. The way we help the world to be a better place is close cooperation with our partners and network effect that always bring us in front of new charities, NGOs and organizations that are trying to make a positive change in the world and who can do it more efficiently, in an environmentally friendly way using our Glue Up technology.

Corporate social responsibility (CSR) is a form of corporate self-regulation that builds sustainability and public interest into business decision-making and activities. CSR is the term used to describe how businesses and institutions address environmental, social, and economic sustainability.

P.S.: If you are an association, chamber of commerce or a non-profit looking for a better way to manage your members and engagement, we have a software solution just for you. If you want to learn more, Book a Demo with Glue Up!
